On the 18th, thundery weather in the evening, was accompanied by rapid rises and falls of pressure along with some notable downdraughts from a northerly direction (although the storms were tracking in from the south). The highest gusts recorded were 37 knots (42 mph) early and mid evening. No further gusts above 30 knots (34 mph) occurred, but several afternoons at the beginning and end of June had southwesterly gusts between 25 and 30 knots (29-33 mph).
